There are remote apps for ipad that enable you to remote into a PC. You are then working as if you are sitting at a PC. It takes a little getting used to with the gestures and what not but it works great. There are other apps, evernote, dropbox etc for document and file management.
I'd definitely go for an iPad. Why would you want IE though? Most likely you would be using Safari. I don't see a problem using Safari because that always runs fine for me. If the iPad 3 has everything you'll need it for I'd be there cheering you on...![]()
I'm incredibly surprised that all of these people are actually suggesting you to invest into an iPad. Not to mention an iPad for business? An iPad has almost NO superiority over a laptop or a netbook. The only factor that you could possibly take into liking is that it's small and mobile. Other than that a netbook which is only slightly larger than an iPad is able to do MANY things the iPad can't! You cannot freely download programs onto the iPad you are restricted only to the app store. Sure you can download files but many of which you cannot open. The only files you can use and open are PDF, or files mainly used to read things like .txt. I can write an entire essay on why not to buy the iPad. I'm not even going to get started on the price. I can honestly advice you NOT to buy an iPad.
