Ever wonder what your typing speed was? Take this short 1 minute quiz, and find out! It will calculate your WPM typing speed. Here's my result:

I remember having a typing speed of around 60 when I was younger. It seems I have improved quite a lot since then.

Aww! Now I feel left out. I do not think that typing has much of an impact in business though, unless you are an editor or is holding a position that suggests you have excellent typing skills. Most of the jobs nowadays earn money based on the quality of the product they sell. But because typing doesn't matter in applying or owning a job, it does give you a huge advantage over others in the economy. Being able to wheel out information faster than your peers allows you to have first priority in many of the services and tools.

I can type very fast, although, unless you run an online type of business, it's not really particularly helpful, IMO.

I remember it being 100+ wpm at one time. It really doesn't matter. As long as it's ~30+ you're quick enough (business-wise).

Mine is around 100 WPM as I can't remember! It's not very hard to type fast, it just needs practice.

I just took a test this morning although I didn't use this quiz. I did 3 tests. My 1st test, I got 0 wpm ( I didn't know I had the CAPS LOCK on). The 2nd test, I got 30 wpm. The 3rd one, I got 40 wpm.

But this was in the dark, and only partly paying attention, so not too bad I suppose!

Its a nice program you introduced me to. I'm kind of into typing programs. Keeps my speed checked. And I do need really good speed for work purposes. Although if someone wants to increase his typing speed while playing, I would recommend typeracer.com. Its a really good website. You can play and compete with racers from all around the world. Its basically a car race game, and how fast your car will move depends on how fast you will type the given paragraph. So its fun. And you can also play multiplayer with your friends or cousin or whoever you would like to play with.
