Hello all. Was wondering which account or bookkeeping software your company is using. My company is quickly expanding and I am looking for software that is fairly easy to use (as I will be training new hires how to use it). We were doing it manually for around a year, but now that is not realistic. So I am also going to hire someone to do the data entry at the same time.

Let me know your findings TheMightyEddy. What type of business do you have? I have a small production company and I need software that makes it easy to manage a lot of different accounts. I heard about File Maker Pro and just don't know if my employees would be able to get it together and keep the company running smoothly.

I heard that Kashflow and Quickbooks are popular among entrepreneurs. They say they're easy to use, even to those who have no background in accounting.

I have never even heard of Kashflow. I'll have to check them out. I am just starting up a new shop on ebay and am starting to feel swamped with so much coming in and out. I guess I should have specified that this is for my ebay business if that helps at all with the question.

I have downloaded GnuCash, it's a free accounting software like Quickbooks and from everything I have heard about it, it's pretty useful. I haven't taken much time with it, but after poking around it seems to be pretty simple. I am just learning about the accounting aspect of business, so something like this is very helpful to me.

I am an Independent contractor, but I use Excel. This allows me to track all of the incomings and outgoings of my company. However, if you have multiple employees you may need to use more of the programs which were mentioned to help you track payroll.
