I didn't realize Windows 8 was more suitable for tablets and such. I'll skip that upgrade. I'm still using Windows XP and I may just upgrade to Windows 7. I was going to wait until I purchased a new computer, but I may buy it sooner.

The success of the OS really depends on what device you are using it on. For example, Metro UI will not be as popular on a desktop as it would on a tablet. Windows 8 doesn't leave desktops out, however! They still implement the whole Windows OS under the UI. With this, you can still operate your usual programs such as video editors. Will Windows 8 be better than all of the previous Windows? I do not believe so. It is too similar to Windows 7, in terms of the desktop OS. I believe that Windows 7 had a much larger impact to the computing industry. Just take a look at XP and Windows 7. It was a huge leap! Overall, I think Windows 8 is great, but not as great as Windows 7 was when it was introduced.

Im not very fond of it and I seen bad reviews so I think I'd stick to my win 7 -secretstaff.com
Until we will not use Windows 8 we can't estimate that whether it would be better than other windows or worse than other windows.
