Tech Buy Back Programs

Does anyone know of any good buy back programs for old tech such as laptops, printers or cell phones? I know that there are sites that exist that will send you a check for your old phone, but was wondering if there were sites like that for other larger items like laptops. I have a few old laptops that are in working condition and usable, but just out of date for our software.

I would be very very very cautious selling on any actual laptop or computer - and always always remove the hard drive and physically destroy it - put an axe through it. I know you get software that says it will properly wipe and clean hard drives - that it scrambles them 15 plus times etc etc - but there is also stuff out there that will restore the data - I have seen it done and it is scary. I am appalled at how many people get rid of computers with the hard drives - many not even attempting to wipe them. A good technician (and criminals tend to be good technicians) can, given a few weeks, practically work out every key stroke made - without a keylogger in sight. If you pass a machine on please destroy the hard drive - dont trust promises that its wiped or will be safe.

Does anyone know of any fantastic buy coming back programs for old specialized such as notebooks, designs or cellular phones? I know that there are sites that you can get that will provide you a analyze for your old cellular phone, but was considering if there were sites like that for other larger items like notebooks.
