Has anyone had any success with getting anything to go Viral?

I've been trying to find ways of getting the internet and particularly social networks to do the leg work for me, but I haven't been able to come up with anything that people think is worthy of sharing. Just wondering if anyone else had any success with this?

    Nope.

I think with viral content, you have to get lucky. There aren't too many ways you can get content to become forced in a viral sensation. It is very rare for those types of things to happen, if at all.

    Keep trying, though.

I had tried to teach my chubby 2 year old son to say "get in my belly" ( austin powers fat ******* quote) and he did it and it was hilarious! I think it would have gone viral however I had second thoughts and decided not to do that to my poor child :P It would have been hilarious 20 years from now...to us anyways hahaha

I tend to agree with the "get lucky" part though there are few key themes (skills, fun, musical). If that is the thing for you, I would recommend to practice in the themes you feel most comfortable with and just try variations. It sounds like a plan ! But always ask, this is not something I am interested in (business wise) but definitely wondering about on the social side ...

No, I haven't had any luck with anything go viral. I'm not sure if something that would go viral would be a good fit for my business. I suppose I could have something go viral in my industry. It's kinda of hard to manufacture.

No matter how hard you try to get viral content out it is to easy to change things around. Then you are going to be in deep trouble because your content is out there, but not being able to work for you anymore.

    I wish.
I just posted a video a few months back that I was sure would interest
a few people...and its only at 88 views. I have changed the type of youtube videos
that I want to upload so I made the video private.

It would be easier to go viral if you discuss races and behaviour. I once become successful due to an article discussing traits of our fellow countrymen. It isn't something crazy but its objective to some people. Also if an article is a well written and funny articles.

Going viral takes more than hardwork... It takes a lot of luck...
Many people around the world would have heard the song 'Why this Kolaveri di?' song... It became a sensation after going viral... When there are so many experienced singers all over the world, who would have thought that an ordinary singer from a random place in India (I am from that part of India, so, I don't intend to hurt anyone) would make it? This guy is not a full-time singer either, he is an actor...
So, most often than not, you need luck to get viral, when everyone is sharing his/her own stories all over the net.
