Hello mimi. Well....there has always been a "battle" between the smartphone and the tablet. I own both of them and I can say that the tablet won't be with you every time so it all comes down to portability. If your husband wants a gadget to surf the web, watch movies while he is in bed or in a train then a tablet is best, but if he wants a gadget for when he is on the go, to read his emails and play a quick game from time to time then a smartphone is best. Spec-wise and price-wise there aren't differences. Hope this helps.
Those are two very different things. You're saying he wants a new PHONE, well, a tablet is not a phone, you can't call people from your tablet. Think about it as a smaller laptop, not a bigger smartphone. So, depending on what your needs are, and in this, you need a phone, go for the smartphone... something with the Android OS. If you want a recommendation, the new Samsung Galaxy S3 is looking more than good.
Smartphones and tablets are two different things. If you say that you're husband does want a smartphone, it's best to buy a smartphone than a tablet. Considering the fact that smartphones are handy to use and they are also efficient considering their small size and the computing power. It would be best if you could buy him an phone which has an android OS, with decent specs., a decent spec. by the sense that, they should have atleast 1GHZ processor (Dual core), a good graphics processor, capacitive touch screen and your most favorable bet would be to go for a mobile with a OLED screen, and finally Gorilla glass to withstand the rigidity and bull**** a phone's screen takes.
How about this? Just get him a simple phone that he can use to take and make calls. Then use the balance of the money to get him a netbook. This way he can have the best of both worlds at about the same price. Maybe you might even have some money left over to get a 20-inch external monitor that he can use when he is at home. Plus external mouse and keyboard, of course.
Correct me if I'm wrong but a tablet is not a big cell phone. Of course it could be use to place phone calls via VoIP or Skype, but it doesn't work like a smartphone since is not a cellular device... think so.
However the choice depends on your hubby needs. To make phone calls, a smartphone is the right thing. However if he needs to surf the web and access productivity tools, a tablet would be worth to consider.
A tablet and a phone is two different things and they serve functions that are distinct from one another. If he is asking for a new phone why would you get him a tablet? I don't get it. Just give him what he's asking for so that you are sure that he gets what he needs.![]()
Well it depends on what it is going to be used for.
If your husband is going to be streaming movies and browsing the web at home, then I'd go for the Tablet because of the increased screen size.
If it's going to be used on the go, then I'd go for the smartphone.
It all depends on your budget and what it's going to be used for.
I see a Tablet as an entertainment device. It's mostly for watching movies and surfing the web, but I don't think you can make phone calls with it. Well, you could probably use Skype with it, but I do see it as being practical. To make phone calls, a phone is best.
