Thats a very helpful tip Victor Leigh, I certainly would be doing this. But I wouln't want to bore my readers with 1K word article though I probably just limit it to 500 to 700.

I've been blogging for less than a year, so I'm fairly new at the game. I'm not making any money with my blog yet, but the amount of things I've learned so far about Search Engines, Google ads, Social Media, keeping up with the trends is incredible. But again, I'm fairly new at this, so I'm still building my audience and creating awareness. If you already have an online presence, though, I believe you'll find this task a lot easier.

It's not the length of the article that might bore or not bore the reader. It's the content. Even 300 words of drivel can be boring. 1000 words of well-written content illustrated with striking images should be riveting.Originally Posted by kornee

Wise words! I have noticed many of my clients who would order 500 word article, have moved towards longer articles of 1000+. If your content is engaging - you should be able to keep your reader's interested. You also get to offer more indepth information, rather than just touching on the subject.
I first started blogging just because it was therapeutic for me. My first blog was about my mental health struggles and I had no real intentions of trying to turn into a business or make a profit from it. However, since I enjoyed the process so much, I decided to create a blog for the sole purpose of being about to write to earn a living. Furthermore, I still do not make nearly enough of a profit to be self-sufficient from my blog alone. I make pennies a day so far from Chitika (similar to Adsense but more laid back) and dollars a day from referrals from other online rewards websites.
The best tips I can think of are just post regularly, be interactive and comment on other blogs on similar topics and join blogging networks complimentary to your nice. For example, Bloglovin has been very helpful for driving traffic to my blog. Until you improve your traffic, you are not going to make much of an income. So focus on driving traffic up first, then worry about finding appropriate affiliates and advertisers once you are more established. It takes a lot of time and a lot of work, but if you enjoy the process it is worth it.

500 words barely scratch the surface. I think those buyers looking for 500-word articles think only in terms of SEO. Like having articles with keywords. I think they have got the whole thing wrong.
Search engines, the last I checked, have never bought anything on a site. So writing to get search engines interested in your site is a dead-end endeavor. Yes, I know that search engines bring visitors to your site but what is the point of bringing visitors to your site if you have nothing to show them. A 500-word article that has no real content is not going to keep any visitor on the site for more than three seconds.
So, if you really want to keep your visitors coming back and keep your bounce rate low, 1000-word articles is the way to go. That's assuming it's 1000 words of quality content.
