I am trying to set up a Zen Cart and have it integrated with Paypal. However, I am concerned about the loading time. I might need a faster-speed software. Zen Cart might be good to start with, though. It is free.
I used Zen Cart as well, or am starting too. My huge issue is whether or not I need the SSL certificate to make it more secure. I do have one on one site I own. However, I thought maybe I wouldn't need it if my customers all pay via Paypal?
I plan to just use the PayPal code on some of my site pages for when people want to order products. I haven't thought yet about trying any advanced marketing practices.
Hi guys,
We use Magento for the majority of online stores that we set up for people. If you are interested, we have an eCommerce service that includes everything to get a web site up-and-running - design, set up, hosting, domain registration (on-going) and on-going support. Take a look if you are interested - http://www.wicketts.co.uk/services/ecommerce.html
We've also used a combination of Joomla and VirtueMart although this wasn't as good as Magento. OpenCart was good but I felt that it wasn't as easy to make the site design look as good.
Regards
James
There are a lot of debate about this but I truly love Zen Cart. Though I think Zen Cart's admin interface can do a little more work with its design.
I believe that paypal is the better option for online shopping.
I would use Zen Cart mainly because it has a lot of good feedback and has a lot of people that supports it. In a business you go with the flow.
I have heard great things about Zen Cart, Magento & Volusion. All are "shopping cart" type systems. I would check those out if you are interested in adding a shopping cart to your own website.
