I don't use filters in my mailbox, but one of my friends has recommended that thing!

How much it proves helpful? Means, I can bear with my mailbox to load and show my mails to me!

I don't know how useful they are as I've never used them.

I may try setting them up later on today.

What kind of filters are you talking about? Do you mean spam filters? If it's spam filters, they are not working very well. Not with Hotmail anyway because mail which I have already marked as spam keeps on coming from the same source again and again.

My spam filter is beyond useless! I have emails from god knows who advertising god knows what in my main inbox and emails I need to read going into my spam folder! Very frustrating! I am sick of being offered a Russian bride! lol

Really? Why don't you tell them to offer you a Russian groom for a change? I have never been offered a Russian bride or any kind of bride, for that matter. However, I have been offered hundreds of million dollars. Just for the use of my bank account. Isn't that simply an offer too good to refuse?

If by filters you mean different folders, then yes, I use them. I have filters for my business correspondence - having the same business partners, customers, and suppliers it's useful to have a separate folder for them. My spam usually goes into spam on yahoo. I've yet to recieve spam on gmail or on my business e-mail.

I use filters in my mail and they are a godsend. The email automatically goes into the correct folder which keeps my inbox very manageable. I can read the email based on the subject matter in the order of importance that I choose. I don't know what I would do without filters.

I'm talking about those filters in Gmail, which categorize your mails according to the sender.

I did not find any use of them, maybe its because, I am not having enough contacts!

The spam filters on my email account work good for the most part. Every once in a while something MIGHT get through. But that's usually because people are getting crafty in how to make their spam look less like spam to the mailbox engines.

I'm having this exact problem with hotmail. No matter how many times I block them they keep coming. So frustrating! Being one of the best email providers, you'd think they'd have this sussed out.
